Help Landcare gather baseline data on koalas and bats in South Gippsland by participating in our event on 23 March 2024

Wildlife Unlimited is excited to be joining a team of experts and volunteers to assist Yarram Yarram and Wonyip Landcare groups with Biodiversity Surveys in South Gippsland.

The community is invited to participate in the event and our education session on bat ecology and adaptations to nocturnal hunting, looking particularly at echo-location in microbats.

This will be followed by a night time active search for bats using an Echo Meter and setting up passive monitoring using an Anabat Swift to collect bat call data over a two-week period.

These surveys will contribute data to baseline biodiversity surveys for the Wonyip Landcare sites to inform their focus for future activities. Download the flyer for more information.
